    Hello

    I am seriously considering buying a Triplett Christina 25 therapy harp as a second/more portable instrument to supplement my regular 34 strung harp (I live in the UK).

    I probably won’t have the opportunity to try out this harp, so if anyone on here has any positive or negative comments to pass on about this instrument I’d be interested to hear them. My particular concern is that, when playing in the seated position with the lap-bar in place, that I will be supporting the weight of the harp against my upper body as I suffer from chronic upper body pain due to old repetitive strain injuries. (I would not be thinking of playing in the standing position for this reason).

    Hi Leah,

    When I purchased my harp, I too was considering the Christina therapy harp. In the end, I ended up deciding on the Lewis Creek Nightingale, primarily due to the fact that it has more strings (27 instead of 25).

    My harp teacher has a Christina and we compared harps a few times during our lessons. Both of us agreed that the Nightingale has a warmer and richer tone. I would highly recommend to also consider the Lewis Creek therapy harps. I believe the price is pretty comparable. The Nightingale is a beautiful little harp, very light weight and ideal for therapy work. Also, I would strongly recommend going with the Truitt levers, which won’t alter the tone, are light weight and look like jewelry on your harp.

    Hello and thanks for your comment &advice :-)

    I had looked into the Lewis Creek Nightingale after reading other people’s previous posts praising this lap harp. I haven’t heard one being played, but it’s appearance is in my opinion supierior to the somewhat clunky outward design of the Christina.

    Unfortunately I live in the UK and there is no distributer for Lewis Creek here (and I know from having a few teething problems with my current it pays to be near someone who can easily repair and replace parts when things don’t go to plan!!)
