I am restoriing a Browne harp, purchased 1869. It will be used for decorative purposes only. The sound board has been painted with bronze powder paint. I am assuming that sound boards were generally not painted but was hoping for some advise on this.

    Thanks! Nancy Thorn

Soundboards of this vintage were very often painted, the plainest were monochrome with gold lines.
