Are there any good arrangements of this piece out there? Also looking for good oboe or English horn and Harp Stuff.
    Any thoughts?

Roy, if you e-mail me privately I can send you an arrangement of this piece I made several years ago. It is in 4 flats, and for pedal harp; but with a bit of adapting you would be able to use it on lever harp.

If your oboist can work from a flute part, Becky and Ernie Brock have a very nice flute and harp arrangement of this piece in their Opera Favorites collection.

EDIT All their pieces are arranged for lever harp, but also work well on pedal harp.

I don’t know if Suzanne Balderston’s arrangements are available anymore as I think they were self published and she passed away a few years ago, but she had an arrangement. It’s the one I use.

yes, the Balderston version is available at harp.com. make sure you order several things from them as their shipping rate is absolutely unacceptably ridiculous. I find I have this problem of which version of a piece I would like when there are several options available. While purchasing the different selections (shipping being within reason!) is not a problem as this is my hobby and the music is usually no more than a happy hour bill, it would be nice to hear it before buying. This brings me to youtube, one can find people playing more well known songs but it is simply unacceptable that usually the piece arrangement is not notated. Rude to say the least!

Cindy Kleinstuber Blevins does a lovely, not too hard version. You can find it on her website.

I like Algues by Bernard Andrès, for oboe and harp.

I use the Brock arrangement as a solo as well. It has all the melody in the harp. I think the flute is usually just doubling stuff.

I also use Susan Balderston’s arrangement, and it is a lovely arrangement. But unless she had two different arrangements it is for solo harp with no accompaniment for melody instrument. It wasn’t clear from the original post if Roy is looking for an arrangement of this piece for both instruments, or if he just wanted this piece for harp, and other arrangements of pieces for both instruments.
