Colby College in Waterville, Maine, has appointed Anna Cooney instructor in harp. “I look forward to welcoming Colby students of every major, whether beginning or advanced harpists, helping each build strong technique and enjoy finding their own musical voice at the harp,” Cooney says. “Beyond studio lessons, I hope to see Colby’s harpists collaborating with and sharing their music across the Colby community and beyond.”

Cooney previously served as principal harp of the Symphony of Northwest Arkansas, second harp of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, and summer faculty with the American Youth Harp Ensemble. She holds a Master of Music degree from Shenandoah University, a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree from the College at Southwestern, and a Diploma of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (DipABRSM).
