The Orchestre de la Suisse Romande (OSR) in Geneva has appointed Clara Bellegarde principal harp, beginning this season. “Joining the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande is an exciting new chapter for me,” Bellegarde says. “I feel very fortunate to become part of an orchestra with such a remarkable musical heritage, and I am especially looking forward to getting to know my new colleagues through music, exploring a wide range of repertoire, and sharing inspiring performances together.”

Prior to her appointment to the OSR, Bellegarde held the position of principal harp of the Philharmonisches Staatsorchester Hamburg for 11 years. She regularly performs with leading international orchestras, and recently premiered Camille Pépin’s flute and harp concerto Ce que raconte le vent… under conductor Kent Nagano at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg. Bellegarde is also active as a chamber musician, performs at international chamber music festivals, and teaches throughout Europe. Learn more on her website.
