At the conclusion of One Harp World, the World Harp Congress (WHC) announced the location and dates of its next event, which will take place July 10–16, 2029, in Berlin. Australian harpist Alice Giles is the newly appointed chair of the WHC, becoming the first non-U.S. chair of the organization. She will serve for the next three Congresses, including in Berlin. Giles succeeds former chair Kathy Kienzle. Isabelle Perrin will continue as artistic director of the WHC.
