The Toronto International Harp Festival (a.k.a. “iHarpFest”) takes place July 6–12, 2026, in Toronto, Canada. Venues include the Aga Khan Museum, The Ismaili Centre, and the All Nations Event Center. The event coincides with The Toronto International Harp Summer Institute, July 6–10, and the online Toronto International Harp Festival Competition.
Centered on the theme “World’s Heritage. Canada’s Harmony,” the 2026 event “draws inspiration from the historic grandeur of Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee in 1897 … and culminates in a riveting one-woman theatrical performance by Canadian American harpist Rita Costanzi, who redefines the harp in the theatrical realm,” say the organizers. “In 1897, music echoed across continents to mark a Jubilee of unity,” says artistic director Andrew Chan. “In 2026, the harp becomes our voice for a modern jubilee—celebrating not only history, but diversity, innovation, and global artistry.”
“iHarpFest celebrates the harp’s past, present, and future,” says Chan along with artistic advisors Catherine Michel and Kathleen Bride, “and proudly features Canadian music and worldwide talent on the stage of one of the world’s most multicultural cities, Toronto. Our 2026 eEdition will feature a modern jJubilee of sound! We hope to inspire modern and aspiring harpists to bridge the ancient and the contemporary. Through our workshops, seminars, and concerts, we empower harpists to rediscover forgotten gems, create bold new works, and expand the harp’s voice beyond traditional boundaries.”
Featured artists of the festival include Catherine Michel, Jana Boušková, Shamim Minoo, Frances Duffy, Kathleen Bride, Sarah Bullen, Rita Costanzi, Matthew James Van Driel, and Andrew Chan.
