Cruit Éireann/Harp Ireland (CÉHI), the national resource organization for the Irish harp, has appointed Tríona Ní Dhuibhir as its new Chief Executive Officer. According to a press release, Ní Dhuibhir will lead CÉHI in its next phase, promoting the Irish harp, supporting harpers across Ireland, and advocating for a World Centre for Irish Harping in Dublin.

“It is an honor to take up the role of CEO at Cruit Éireann/Harp Ireland,” Ní Dhuibhir says. “The harp holds a special place at the heart of Irish culture. I look forward to working with the board, the team, and the wider harping community to build on the organization’s remarkable work to date and to ensure the harp continues to thrive as a living tradition.”

Ní Dhuibhir was previously General Manager of Dublin Theatre Festival, General Manager of Barabbas Theatre Company, and Production Coordinator/Director at Daghdha Dance Company. As a singer, she was artist in residence at Axis Ballymun and released her EP, Tríona Sings, in 2021. She studied Irish traditional and world music at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance under Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin.
