I learned Rhumba from the old edition and I remember when one of my students learned it from the new edition it was a bit different. Is it still okay to play the old version or do I need to order the new one?

This tripped me up during a recent gig with harp ensemble. I was playing from the older edition; everyone else, newer one. Fortunately I caught the discrepancy during rehearsal and fixed it before the performance!

The original edition is the only one, as far as I am concerned. It was approved by Salzedo, and the new one could not have been. I don’t know what the changes are. Rumba is hard, and we just have to live with it.
