    Kay,

Can’t you just give us a wee hint as to what the harp stork might be bringing?

    #109325

Kay, be prepared with something yummy (lemonade and home-made cookies??) for when the truck comes. The delivery person will be tired from other deliveries before yours, and you may be able to persuade him to wait while you inspect the container for damage and possibly even give a look inside. Everything will probably be perfect, but just in case, it’s wise to make sure, before he leaves. Happy harping!!

You know, I was wondering about the delivery guys.

Generally no, you don’t tip the delivery guys unless they do something extra or something particularly difficult. Like if they carry the box up a difficult flight of stairs or have to do some tricky maneuvering to get into your house.

And generally they don’t hang around while you

Well congratulations, Kay. I hope you and your new E have a wonderful life together.

I need to add too that Natalie Bilik and Steve Hartman at L&H have BENT OVER BACKWARDS for me and Becky in my search for a harp.

If anyone else is like me, L&H’s website is probably being deluged with sight-seeres.

Congratulations, Kay! Enjoy your new harp.

(and Tony’s right about the delivery–that’s just how it is most places, so don’t fret if they won’t stay and socialize)

Congratulations, Kay! I know you’re just going to love your new harp, and we’ll need pics of you with it, of course! I was just about to speculate that you were getting a Camacoyama Lyon & Salvi Venu-Litzer with gold column, natural base, mahogany body, and walnut neck, lol!

    Too funny!

Tony- My how times have changed. Years ago when Mildred Dilling would ship a harp to me for repair, she would always include in her first payment a few extra dollars to tip the driver. That used to be the way. I don’t know when it changed.

    Carl,

I have the same driver for my harps and for students.’ I always tip and offer brownies. They do not expect it, but they are handling precious cargo and often help me open the box.
