Catherine Anderson, based in New Orleans, is a founding member of Musaica Chamber Music Ensemble, and instructor at Tulane University School of Music, Loyola New Orleans School of Music, and the University of New Orleans. She is the solo harpist for the New Orleans Ritz-Carlton tearoom, and an active freelancer and therapeutic musician, playing live, interactive music at the bedside to bring beauty and healing to those suffering from illness. Catherine is married to Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra Principal Bassist and composer David Anderson, and together they have premiered a number of his duos for bass and harp. She has also performed many harp and cello duos with their son, Kyle Anderson, a professional cellist and new member of the LPO.
