Kristal Barlaan –
For over 2 year San Jose Youth Symphony Harp Ensemble has had the honor to work with Mr. Maerz. He is a brilliant composer for and knows how to write for the harp at all levels. He asked me what piece I would like the ensemble to play and I suggested this beautiful Welsh tune and favorite amongst harpists. I never expected such a beautiful arrangement! Although the triplet pattern towards the end was a challenge for the younger students, it gave the more advanced students a goal that was perfect for them. The audience loved this pieces as well!
