Tamsin Dearnley’s “Toccata” is for solo lever harp. It is the third movement from Dearnley’s Suite for Lever Harp. A driving, high-energy piece that takes advantage of the full range of the harp, it blends unexpected harmonies with relentless rhythm—without a single lever change. Influenced by 20th-century composers like Bartók, it’s a thrilling concert piece that challenges expectations of the lever harp. It is currently featured on the ABRSM Grade 8 syllabus.
