Tamsin Dearnley’s “Abstract” is for solo lever harp. It is the opening movement from Dearnley’s Suite for Lever Harp. Inspired by Marwan Rechmaoui’s sculpture Monument for the Living, this piece explores raw emotion through an atonal soundscape created by randomly set levers. It is the most experimental and contemporary-sounding movement of the suite.
