Note from the composer
“At Journey’s End” is written with no time signature, as the music flows effortlessly between various meters. The rolled chords have a drone effect, as if played by bagpipes. If the note values are respected, a sense of spaciousness, spontaneity, and improvisation is added to the piece. “At Journey’s End” is appropriate for communion in worship or in other settings where a sense of beauty and peace is desired.
