Note from the arranger

Astor Piazzolla (1921-1992) was a prolific composer of tangos. He was born in Argentina and lived and studied in Argentina, United States and Europe. He created “tango nuovo,” a blend of jazz and classical elements with tango music from Argentina. “Oblivion” is one of his most famous pieces.
