Huaino

Marcela Méndez has transcribed Héctor Iglesias Villoud’s “Huaino” for solo lever or pedal harp. Written for piano in 1944, this brief Andean dance features both rhymthic and pentatonic melodies. In 2025, it was selected as required repertoire for the Harp Competition Elena Carfi and was added to the ABRSM syllabus.
