Prelude in A-flat Major

Laura Sherman has transcribed Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Prelude in A-flat Major” for solo pedal harp. This prelude is from the first volume of Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier collection. The combination of sparse pedal changes, introduction to ornamentations, and shifting melodic roles between the two hands help make this an excellent etude or concert piece for intermediate harpists. Historical notes and notation notes are provided.
