Troika

Kirsten Agresta Copely’s Troika is for solo lever or pedal harp. This piece takes you on a delightful winter’s journey “by means of a sleigh drawn by three beautiful white horses,” says Copely. Harmonics and continuous right hand arpeggio patterns help tell the story of the sleigh moving through hills and bends and smooth, glistening snow.

Beautiful, evocative piece. Fun to play, though it will be a while before I’m up to speed. This will be a stellar addition to my holiday repertoire.

This piece gives me such joy to play. It is suitable for any time of year, not just during the holidays. It is beautiful, uplifting and is well laid out. I highly recommend this for anyone looking to freshen up their playlist.

Gorgeous and sweet little piece! No lever/pedal changes. A 34-string lever harp wonāt have the bass A an octave below the staff that is used a few times in this piece, but itās easy to omit/play up an octave. Thoughtful fingerings are indicated here and there. This oneās a keeperāthanks, Kirsten!
