Kana Matsumoto’s arrangement of the traditional Japanese folk song “Sakura, Sakura” is for solo pedal harp. Matsumoto uses claw-playing techniques at the beginning which was inspired by a Japanese koto and during the second variation, she imagined “cherry blossom petals dancing in the wind” to inspire her arranging.
