Notes from the arranger:

“Ellens dritter Gesang” (“Ellens Gesang III”, D. 839, Op. 52, No. 6, 1825). Schubert composed this melody to accompany a setting of Walter Scott’s poem “The Lady of the Lake.” Shubert composed seven songs, which makes up his Opus 52.
