Jacqueline Pollauf has blended the lovely melodies of “Greensleeves” and “O’Carolan’s Air” to create this arrangement for four lever or pedal harps. Initially the two melodies trade off, but gradually become more intertwined as the piece progresses. Fingerings are provided; Harps 1 and 2 each require a couple of a simple lever changes.

This arrangement is well written, creative, and easy to put together as an ensemble. It has a haunting feel. Our group enjoyed adding some tapping into the last verse for even more interest. And instead of plucking the very last note in this piece we snap it with the back of our finger nail to make it end with a twang, an effect that fits well with the style of the piece.
