Slavonic Dance No.2 (Dvořák)

Barbora Plachá has arranged Dvořák’s Slavonic Dance No.2 Op. 72 for solo pedal harp. This second Slavonic Dance in e minor is based on the dumka, a piece of Slavic music that originated as a folk ballad or lament, typically melancholy in character with contrasting lively sections. This piece received an honorable mention in Harp Column’s New Music Contest.
