I love this piece! I am not a beginner harpist, but this piece is at a slightly above beginner level. Which makes it so fun for me to play, because it is super easy to learn. It strikes me as the perfect piece to add to my repertoire as a lullaby, as something calming to play in a hospice setting, or just as background music when my friends come over and want to hear me play. (Which I must admit is not that frequent!) The “tune” is charming. I can imagine putting wonderful words to it and singing it as a ballad, it’s that versatile. The flow and rhythm are easygoing and yet, subtly haunting. Looking forward to performing it in my harp circle this weekend. Congratulations, Alexandra!
