Pratt. That’s your best option, hands down.
sarafigalParticipantI can’t wait to try a new Camac at some point. I am now playing a gorgeous old LH22 (1926), and I absolutely love the size — fits my body beautifully. But I need a harp I can throw in my car, something robust. Obviously I need a Camac, right?
sarafigalParticipantI appreciate this discussion! I would love to try a Pratt Sprite, but no one in my area has one.

sarafigalParticipantBalfour and Carol Lynn,
Have you seen the PR on the Camac design elements? There is an interesting interview with Jakez Francois about the changes to harp building that they made initially with the Canopee and Nouveau. Then, in an act of “democratization,” they decided to introduce the Egerie with the same new sound box design and its “new sound.” If you google “interview Camac Egerie,” you’ll find various platforms sharing that video interview.
Best,
SarasarafigalParticipantYou rock, David.
sarafigalParticipantHi Balfour (and Carol Lynn),
Thanks so much for sharing your impressions! Your pitch for the Mini Blue confirms what I hoped to hear. I’m going to enjoy this adventure…
Best regards,
Sara (Sara Lynn, in fact)sarafigalParticipantGreenjudy, have you shared any post-acquisition reports about your Camac Stivell? As someone seriously contemplating a Pratt but wary of its height/weight, I would love to hear your impressions of the harps in comparison with each other–particularly because your description of the music you like to play very closely matches my own.
