    Thanks Biagio.

The harp seems mechanically perfect, smooth, etc. I think the problem is environment. I live where it is pretty dry; since I’ve been in my current house – which is better for heating/ventilation, etc – for over a year, the harp has behaved much better. But, still not nearly as stable as my small harp.

Another problem I have with this harp is the string spacing: it’s actually around 14mm, which I don’t like for wire.

I’m talking with the seller that Eil mentioned. Currently having to research shipping methods – to get the harp from Netherlands to Montana.

Thank you so much for the info. Those harps are most beautiful, but, alas, slightly outside of my budget.

…something other than handsoap/water, like a solution in a convenient can or bottle, that is..

Thx. My large 30-str has that 12mm which I can live with, but the harp is notoriously bad at holding its tuning. My small harp holds its tuning quite well, but lacks volume if course..

On another matter, can you recommend a detergent or disinfectant that can be used liberally on nylon strings?

    Hi Biagio –

I’m looking for a 30-string (or clise) with narrower spacing. My 30-string is a Triplett, with wide spacing – it has good volume, but I prefer narrower spacing.

William Macdonald currently has a harp available, but it’s a 22-str.

James Skeen builds a 26-str, with narrow spacing, but I have a 25-string Triplett.

Do you by chance know how long the wait list is for a Witcher?

I had an idea last night. I’d about forgotten about my hammered dulcimers – sitting in the closet, unused. These will be great for this purpose.

Thank you. I have one small harp and one floor harp.

Padding and wash-ability aren’t such a priority, really, but rather secure straps, and convenience.

Unfortunately, I have arthritic hands that prevent me from most anything requiring much manual dexterity – such as repurposing sleeping bags.

*But you know, you’ve inspired me to start hunting around again for something to make it – and the sleeping bag WOULD be good for the small one. Maybe I’ll try that. Thx

    Thank you Biagio.

By that I mean – i’ve not explored Scandinavian music as pertains to harp.

I’ve got a small 25-str wire harp I’ve thought of teaching my kids to play some small kantele figures to accompany some of my fiddle tunes – I’ve got some cds I’ll have to dig out to find more.

I’ve not explored this idiom wrt harp – all my wire stuff is gaelic/trad as come down through the Isles. I’m becoming keener to the idea of seeing what I can find as deployed on w. harp.

Thx for link! Ya I’ll have to check it out.

*Oh is that notation? I only just play harp, fiddle and all that by ear – I haven’t read since I quit classical guitar 15 years ago. 🙂

**wrt the musicmakers publications, I didnt see exactly one of the titles you mention – is it the “Wire Harp Collection”?
