Ida SlaptaParticipant
The part is GREAT!
Ida SlaptaParticipantHey Saul,
I agree skits can be a hoot.
Ida SlaptaParticipantHearing Christa and her trio was yet another treat the conference had to offer.
Ida SlaptaParticipantI thought the conference in Tacoma was very well done.
Ida SlaptaParticipantTarnish resistant strings are good strings.
December 29, 2009 at 5:48 pm in reply to: played outside in 55 degree TX weather:–cracks in the finish? #74996Ida SlaptaParticipantThe first question I have is “why were you and your harp out in 55 degree weather in the first place?!” I couldn’t even think of playing anything that required any technique at that temperature. As for your harp, I have always heard that right around 50 degrees is when bad things can happen. For the time being the damage is probably only cosmetic (keep and eye on it), I would recommend a clause in your contract with temperature limits. My personal low limit is 65 degrees.
Ida SlaptaParticipantAnd when I say “taps” as the groom entered I mean play “Taps” as the groom entered….
Ida SlaptaParticipantOnce a young bride asked me to “taps” as the groom entered. Of course she wanted an arpeggiated “harpy” version. I eventually got tired of her tacky sense of humor and suggested that she would be happier with another musician.
Ida SlaptaParticipantYou should also order a set of the “new” style pedal couplings for your current rods.
Ida SlaptaParticipantIf I were going to retire tomorrow I would have my worldly belongings packed up and moved to my new home on the island of Kawai’i in Hawaii. It is truly paradise! I look forward to the day when I can stick my harp in the sand and play on the beautiful Na’ Pali coast. Truly one of the most beautiful locations in the world.
