Are you asking about pedal harps? I’d love for someone else to weigh in on this. I’ve heard from someone who has a Lyon & Healy that’s 30 years old and never had work besides regulations. They said it didn’t have any issues. But I tried a 20 year old LH 85 that had some noticeable clicking in the pedals with the worst of it in the B pedal. I’m not sure about the history of either harp or the owners so I can’t comment on what would lead one to degrade faster than the other. I’d love to know!

Thank you for posting this. I have long struggled with reading sheet music. I can usually figure out the notes on the page given enough time, but making the connection to where that is on the harp is a secondary challenge.

This is infuriating and I’m really sorry to hear you’ve had these issues. I’m on the hunt for a harpmobile but I’ll be avoiding Chrysler for sure. What was the new vehicle you purchased?

I’m in the same boat. The Subaru Outback looks big enough, but I haven’t taken a harp to the dealership to find out. Let me know what you decide.

Thank you both for your responses. I won’t be able to have a harp due to my job. I fully intend to purchase a harp and find a teacher when I’m settled in 6 months.

Do either of you find it tedious to learn new music? Will I ever get better at this? It just seems like I don’t digest the music as quickly as I should.
