ParticipantDear Phoebe,
I have played the Concierto Serenata and I just love it!

ParticipantNot sure you’ll still be in town but here’s a great harp event on Jan. 28:

And of course, you can always go see the Fantasticks and the Snapple Theater Center at 50th St and Broadway…I’ll be playing both shows on Jan. 24 (2 and 8PM)!!!

ParticipantIn my school of playing, there is a two step process…first pressing into the string, then releasing it and closing the fingers into the palm.

ParticipantActually, every one has a harp teacher on the faculty…
If their websites don’t list the audition repertoire, you can always contact the teachers directly to ask about it.

ParticipantMontclair State University, Rowan University, The College of New Jersey (in Trenton), Temple University, Princeton University, Westminster Choir College, Moravian College, Lehigh University and Curtis Institute all come to mind…

ParticipantI believe the CD-roms you have located are NOT audio CD’s but are computer files of the actual printed harp parts.

ParticipantSo to answer your first question, in measures 2 and 4, they are quarter rests.

ParticipantI have the Grandjany edition of the Feuillets D’Album, but I think the edition doesn’t really matter.
In the European method of notation, the eighth rest and quarter rest are mirror images of each other.
