    Hi Jack,
    That sounds very interesting. Please post again about how the new design is coming along, and if you have any pictures of it as well. They sound a bit like getting blades installed…. I understand those have to be set pretty precisely too, but that’s a permanent setup. I didn’t realize bray pins were exacting in their placement.

    I’d like a real music stand and a new tuner and while I’m at it a nice simi grand or grand pedal harp. But I’ll be happy to just spend time with family and friends.

    Hi Sherri
    I am no expert, but I understand that the placement of the bray pin can give a range of sounds, from subtle purring to something more forthright. So “exacting” is actually a good thing because it embodies lots of possibilities. I also like a harp with brays set on the bass and the top sounding clear.

    I’ll post progress as it happens. We are also working on an ‘affordable’ harp using a metal neck and pillar with levers integrated into the design.
