ParticipantVivian,
I know that the client is always right, but please, to be fair, I had an existing commitment doing sound at the Freight and Salvage that morning and gave you my best estimate for when I would be done. I made it clear that it was approximate, as I would have to break down afterwards. I made myself entirely available to you, even telling my wife to expect you afterwards and was actually a bit shocked that you weren’t willing to meet.
I’m sorry it didn’t work out, and I still hope that it might.
All best wishes,
Chris

ParticipantHi Barbara,
You’re absolutely right regarding the manager, and I am indeed working on that. FYI I won’t be working on the 36 until I am no longer behind on the 29 deliveries.
Best,
Chris

ParticipantHi Amber,
I’m working with the case maker now. No new batch yet. Any new issues with your harp? – Chris

ParticipantProbably a good plan Chris, though I sure hope you will take at least a spec sheet for the 36 for people to drool over.

MemberMy student finally got the call that her Sweetharp is ready to be stained (ordered it last August). It *should* be here in about a month, and when it arrives she’s going to call so I can go over and inspect it, show her how to tune in the key of Bb, etc. I’ve been checking in with this thread, and I’ll post when I have something more to tell. 🙂

ParticipantI’m one of the first group who ordered and paid (!) the sweetharp last year (May, the 25. 2011). No sweetharp received until 13 month and no communication, whats going on with my harp … still waiting – it makes me exercised and sad
Has anyone received their harp last month?Greetings from germany, Karsten

Participanti heard from Barbara that Chris has been quite ill, and no i do not have my harp yet either and i do not know when it will be done, the last i heard was that it was ready to be dyed, but i have not heard anything since about a week ago when Barbara emailed me and told me Chris was getting better, but has been very sick.

ParticipantI ordered my very first ever Sweetharp in May, 2011 and didn’t receive it till middle May, 2012 after lots of excuses — floods, lack of parts, back problems, etc. whenever Chris did take the time to reply to my many queries. Actually, the only time he replied was when I contacted the Better Business Bureau then he couldn’t be kind enough!
I also ordered and paid for the Sweetharp case in advance and when I received it, it clearly wasn’t made large enough to fit completely over my Sweetharp as Chris couldn’t even get the zipper closed and told me the woman he had making the cases didn’t get the correct specifics and he would have her remake them over again and I would get one when they were finished.
It’s July now and I still have the wrong-sized case. And Chris hasn’t responded to me. What a surprise — NOT!
Buying a Sweetharp from Chris has NOT been a sweet experience. The dye wasn’t sealed correctly and comes off in my hands after carrying it to the next room. A string has broken twice and is difficult to put it back on correctly.
I have no faith in Chris Caswell and think he should hire a business manager or someone to conduct the business as I have no desire in ever buying another Caswell harp because of his lack of quality customer service.
Life’s short — I’d rather enjoy it than get frustrated all the time by his lack of work ethics!
