Essentials of Scottish Music Scottish music is steeped in centuries of tradition and it gained great popularity in the U.S. during the folk music revival of the seventies and eighties. The focus of this workshop will be on the different Scottish tune types and their unique characteristics of ornamentation, rhythm, and harmony as well as language and instrumentation. We will apply our new knowledge to learn two great traditional tunes that sound distinctly Scottish!  Doors open at 1:30 PM.
