Following the quarterfinal round on February 13, the 2022 World Harp Competition of the Dutch Harp Festival (DHF) announced its six semifinalists: Héloïse Carlean-Jones, France; Juan Corbalán, Paraguay; Cara Dawson, UK; Nathania Ko, Canada; Julie Rokseth, Norway; and Maria Sá Silva, Portugal. These candidates will perform live May 7–8 at the DHF in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

Normally taking place as live events in Hong Kong, New York, and the Netherlands, the quarterfinal round was held online this year due to continuing pandemic restrictions. Candidates each submitted a video preview of their own original program, and the jury met virtually to review the submissions. The jury consisted of harpists Isabelle Perrin and Tristan Le Govic, and concert programmer with the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Mirjam Wijzenbeek.

Following the semifinal round in May, three finalists will be showcased at the closing concert of the festival, where they will compete for over €10,000 in prize money and the Care, Coaching and Career Development Program, which provides continuing career support to the winner. You can watch the 19 quarterfinalists perform on the DHF YouTube channel
