Lyric Opera Orchestra Principal harpist Marguerite Lynn Williams will take over as head of the harp department at the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University in fall, 2015. The post is currently held by Chicago Symphony Orchestra principal harpist Sarah Bullen.
“I am very excited for this new chapter in my career,” says Williams. “The students at Roosevelt have amazing opportunities available to them working closely with Chicago Symphony and Lyric Opera faculty members. I hope to provide for my students a well-rounded performance education including solo, chamber, orchestra and other areas that will prepare them for their professional careers.”
