Rosanna Moore appointed harp professor at University of Oregon

University of Oregon has appointed Rosanna Moore harp instructor for the university’s school of music and dance. Beginning this fall, Moore will be rebuilding the formerly discontinued program. “I’m really excited to be restarting and rebooting the harp program,” Moore shares. “When I visited, I was struck by how supportive all of the faculty and students were to each other, and I can’t wait to work with them all.” She has plans to establish a harp program in the university’s community division and hopes to establish a harp festival. “And aside from the music side, Eugene is just beautiful: great hiking, coffee and wine!”

Moore currently resides in Rochester, New York, where she teaches at the Eastman Community Music School in addition to Nazareth College. As an orchestral harpist, she was recently appointed principal harpist with the Orchestra of the Southern Finger Lakes and plays second harp with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. She completed her Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Eastman School of Music with a minor in theatre and a certificate in arts leadership at the Eastman School of Music.
