Live event today! • 12:00 p.m. ET
Join us for today’s live session featuring “Music of the Romantic Era.” In each live session we’ll talk with some of the Harp Column Music artists whose pieces we’re featuring throughout the challenge. Don’t miss this chance to hear from them in person!

Today’s tune:
On Wings of Song
—by Felix Mendelssohn, arranged by Meinir Heulyn
Purchase this Romantic repertoire suggestion for lever harp at Harp Column Music, or substitute something else!
Today’s Tip:
LISTEN TO LOTS OF MUSIC
While you are busy working on your own Romantic piece, take time to listen to other works of this era, written for other instruments. Listening to music played on other instruments broadens your understanding of different timbres, techniques, and expressive possibilities, which can inspire new ways to approach the harp. It helps you develop a greater sense of musicality, as you learn to hear phrasing, dynamics, and articulation choices that can be applied to your own playing. You might even come across a piece you want to adapt to the harp!
