Program summary

Harpisphere is a summer harp workshop composed of daily masterclasses, harp ensemble, & career development lectures for harpists ages 13-18. The early bird deadline is December 31, 2024 & applicants are accepted on a rolling basis until April 15 or until capacity is reached. Daytime activities will both hone harp students’ versatility in music performance & enrich their minds through career development workshops. Each student receives daily coachings with 2 harp faculty members.

Additional info

Each student receives daily coachings with two harp faculty members, harp ensemble rehearsals, and career development masterclasses. Harp performance coachings will be taught by Emily Klein, Principal Harp Opera in the Heights, Joan Raeburn Holland, Associate Professor at the University of Michigan, Paula Page, former Principal Harp Houston Symphony, Allegra Lilly, Principal Harp Houston Symphony, and Naomi Hoffmeyer, Principal Harp Corpus Christi Symphony, Co-Director Houston Youth Harp Ensemble. Career development lectures will be led by Brandon Bell, General Manager of Da Camera of Houston and Pam Blaine, Community Engagement Leader.
