Andrea Mumm Appointed at UNCG

November 17, 2015

Andrea Mumm, Principal Harp with the Charlotte Symphony, is Lecturer of Harp at University of North Carolina-Greensboro following her appointment earlier in 2015. “I want to build a strong and modern harp studio,” says Mumm. “My dream is to have pedagogy, technique, and orchestral excerpt classes, frequent master classes with guest artists, and of course, give the students all the tools needed to make a successful career.” In support of Mumm’s efforts, the school has recently purchased a new concert grand harp and created a dedicated harp scholarship.

Mumm is a graduate of Eastman, Northwestern, and the pre-college program at the Manhattan School of Music; her teachers have included Susan Jolles, Kathleen Bride, Elizabeth Cifani, and Sarah Bullen.
