American Harp Society Foundation announces 2020 competitions

The American Harp Society Foundation has announced details for the 2020 Anne Adams Awards, taking place May 19–20, and the 2020 Grandjany Memorial Competition, scheduled for May 21. The competitions will be held at Roosevelt University’s Chicago College for Performing Arts, with harps provided by Lyon & Healy. Scholarship awards of $2,000 will be given to the top three Anne Adams winners and one winner of the Grandjany competition will win $5,000. In conjunction with the events, Marguerite Lynn Williams, professor of harp at Roosevelt University and principal harpist with the Lyric Opera of Chicago, will perform a recital on May 21. The four competition winners will be featured in a concert the morning of May 22 at the Lyon & Healy Hall in Chicago.
