AHS Announces repertoire for 2015

The American Harp Society has announced the required repertoire for its 21st National Competition, which will take place in 2015. The competition includes five divisions for harpists up to 30 years of age and awards prizes from $100 to $2500. The winner of the Young Professional Division will also earn the title of AHS Concert Artist. Entries must be received by April 15, 2015. Junior Division (Maximum age 12)
Sonatina #3 in Bb, by Naderman
Reflets Dans L’eau, by Ibert
Halcyon’s Dance, by Litton

Intermediate I Division (Maximum age 15)
Passacaglia (from suite #7), by Handel/Kondonassis
Nocturne, by Ippolitov-Ivanov
Lanes of Limerick, by Williams

Intermediate II Divisions (Maximum age 18)
Sonata in c minor (any version), by Pescetti
Jazz Band, by Tournier
Fantasie on a Theme of Haydn, by Grandjany

Advanced Division (Maximum age 21)
Sonata in F, Allegro, Allegretto (The Lass of Richmond Hill), by Dussek
Sonata for Harp, by Hindemith
Contemplation and Danse des Lutins, by Renié

Young Professional Division (Maximum age 30)

Choose one:
Toccata in A Major, by Paradisi
or
Toccata in F Major, by Loeillet

Parish Alvars Serenade for harp op. 83

Choose one:

or
