The American Harp Society (AHS) is seeking a new full-time executive director, following its announcement that current executive director Kathy McManus is planning to retire as of December 31, 2026. McManus, who served in the AHS for nearly 11 years, says she is honored to have been the organization’s first executive director. Applications for the executive director position are due by Feb. 28.
Along with the board of directors, the executive director of the AHS will be responsible for the implementation of the strategic plan, including development of the organization’s strategic vision and direction of specific initiatives. The executive director creates an annual work plan and operates within a board-approved balanced budget, and is responsible for the management, coordination, and supervision of the overall day-to-day operations and external contractors/vendors.
