The Concours Français de la Harpe has announced required repertoire for its next edition, to be held Feb. 13–15, 2026, in Limoges, France. The annual competition’s 12 repertoire divisions are open to harpists of all nationalities, with no age limit. Harpists can apply to multiple divisions. Applications open on Sept. 1, 2025, and will close on Jan. 18, 2026, or when the available spots have been filled.
In the Excellence division, competitors must submit video recordings for the preliminary round before Jan. 11, 2026. The required piece for the video round is Rhapsodie by Marcel Grandjany (Editions Leduc). During the final round in Limoges on Feb. 15, selected contestants will perform the first movement of Henriette Renié’s Concerto in C minor (Editions Leduc), in addition to Le jardin mouillé by Jacques de la Presle (Editions Leduc).
Prize sponsors include the Association Internationale des Harpistes et Amis de la Harpe, Camac, the Instrumentarium (Lyon & Healy/Salvi), and Le Magasin de la Harpe (Budin). The first prize winner of the Excellence division will be invited to perform two recitals: the opening concert of the next Concours Français de la Harpe and a concert as part of the Festival International Harpe en Avesnois. Camac will also offer a 22-string Bardic harp or a gift certificate in the amount of 950 €. The second prize winner of the Excellence division will be invited to play a recital at the Instrumentarium in Paris, broadcast by livestream.
