Organized by the “Opera Zero” Cultural Association of Bari (Italy), the 2nd International Harp Competition “Ángel Padilla Crespo” will take place this spring. The online competition is open to musicians of all nationalities and is divided into four solo harp categories (up to 16 years old, up to 21 years old, no age limit, and lever harp with no age limit), plus two ensemble categories (chamber music with harp and harp ensembles of two to four members). The repertoire for most categories is a free-choice program within a given time limit.
Applications are due by April 28 via email to concorsopadillacrespo@operazero.it. Applicants must include a link to an unlisted YouTube video, which will serve as the competition performance. Results will be announced by May 20. One grand prize winner will be awarded €300. First, second, and third prize winners in all categories will receive diplomas.
