The Virginia Harp Center Festival will take place March 14–16, 2025, in Arlington, Va. The two-day event includes performances, workshops, lectures on harp-related topics, masterclasses, and an exhibit hall. Early bird registration ends Feb. 1, 2025.
Workshop and lecture topics include advice for freelancing, orchestral audition preparation, arranging and transcribing, handling performance anxiety, and basic harp maintenance; presentations on Mexican harp music and electric harp music; and hands-on practice of lever changes, pedaling, and improvisation. The festival’s opening concert features Emily Levin’s interactive program “Experiments in Play” at 8:00 p.m. on March 14.
