The New Mexico Philharmonic and Music Director Roberto Minczuk have announced an opening for principal harp, starting in the 2024–2025 season. Principal harp auditions will take place Oct. 9 for this tenure-track position. Applicants must send a resume and $75 audition deposit by mail no later than September 15.
According to its website, the New Mexico Philharmonic “aspires to increase the cultural vitality of New Mexico and gain national and international recognition for its excellence. [The orchestra is] looking for dedicated passionate professionals interested in contributing to this legacy.” The New Mexico Philharmonic is a per-service orchestra, with principal rates of $178.43 per service for the 2024–2025 season; approximately 36 services may be offered for the principal harp position.
