Remy van Kesteren has signed with Deutsche Grammophon, joining British harpist Catrin Finch, who is also represented by the noted record label. “I am extremely honored to have the opportunity to release my third album under the prestigious Deutsche Grammophon label Universal Music,” says van Kesteren on his website. The new album, scheduled to be released this fall, will feature original compositions by van Kesteren. “This project is a long-cherished wish to make my own music to write and thereby bridge the gap between my classical background and my musical future,” he says.
Among his many prizes, van Kesteren was the first place winner at the 2013 USA International Harp Competition. (Download Harp Column’s interview with van Kesteren following the competition.)
