Lillian Lau maintains a large teaching studio at the University of Chicago and the Greater Chicago area. The UChicago Department of Music offers orchestra sectionals and many performance opportunities. Lillian Lau’s education experience include teaching and pedagogical training as the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music Harp Program Graduate Assistant from 2002-2005, harp coaching for the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra and through the Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s MusiCorps program. Her students range in all levels and age from aspiring performers to adult enthusiasts on pedal and lever harps. Each weekly lesson focuses on musicality, creative and academic selections, relaxed posture and tone production to achieve the enjoyment of artistic excellence.
