You’re welcome Kathleen! I just got this funny idea and decided to actually do it! There are a couple of harp pictures in the calendar, as a nod to the harp community! (Yes, I really made actual calendars!!)

3 against 4, clean: “Pass the GOLDEN butter” or “play the gosh darn fiddle”. I guess it could be “play the old-time fiddle” too. I wish I could come up with some phrase wherein not only would the whole 3 against 4 make sense, but the separate 3 and the 4 would make more sense than ‘play gosh fid’ and ‘play the darn dle’.

Oh, okay, that does make me feel better… I hope it’s NOT going out to all & sundry. I just know that several years ago a harpist I’d never emailed let me know that “I” had sent her a virus… obviously it WAS one case at least, of sending it to a harpist & making it look like it came from another harpist… grrr…

Oh gosh you guys sorry for the LAAAAATE response, I did check the forums the day after PR aired to see if anyone was talking about it but I guess it took a couple days for folks to watch their Tivos or get to the Coffee break forum. Yup, that was me. You can still watch the ENTIRE EPISODE online if you’re so inclined on Lifetime’s own site: http://www.mylifetime.com/on-tv/shows/project-runway/project-runway-episodes/project-runway-season-6-episode-8/videos. If that link doesn’t work for you, you go to http://www.mylifetime.com/on-tv/shows/project-runway, then on the left there’s a menu that includes FULL EPISODES, select that; then the current episode opens up but there’s a blue pull-down rectangle that says MORE EPISODE VIDEOS, then pull that down and select ‘season 6 episode 8’.

Will do! I’ve completed a gorgeous (if I do say so myself) set of arrangements (one for advanced pedal harp, one for intermediate lever harp) of RIBBON IN THE SKY by Stevie Wonder. I’m just twiddling thumbs waiting for the required permission before distributing it.

Oh speaking of arranging contemporary songs, I forgot to mention that I’ve just published an arrangement of PAN’S LABYRINTH LULLABY (from the movie PAN’S LABYRINTH). It’s on my website,
    http://www.harpworld.com/sheetmusic.html.
Not necessarily for weddings, though; it’s beautifully melancholy.

Kirsten, I love learning unique songs requested to customize a wedding. Sometimes they’re silly and ironic; the “theme song to Garry Shandling’s Show”,

Thanks, Christian! No, I did not have a sheet (or visual monitor) with me on stage, but we rehearsed from 10:30 am till 1, and I was only on that one song, and it’s pretty simple, so I had plenty of time to practice backstage and memorize it. (Then lunch at 1, then change into wardrobe, then dress rehearsal at 2:30, then live at 5.) So I felt pretty confident.

Yes, that was me all right, thanks for noticing, Kathleen! It was exciting! The stage looks just as flashy and fabulous in person as it looks on TV (all those flashing video screens and spinning globes and…).
