I have a Triplett Ventana 32 strings which has carbon strings. It’s not exactly the lightest but I play it in sessions all the time and its sound “cuts” through the noise quite well. I got it in The Netherlands from The Troubadour Harps.

I follow a guy called “Alexandtheharp” on Instagram. I don’t know him personally at all, I just like following a lot of different harpists on social media. Anyway, I noticed that he was doing some Björk arrangements, also written out, so perhaps you could ask him? Didn’t look exactly beginner, but it’s good to something to aim for!
P.s. Just to clarify, I do realise that this is a waltz, but during evenings of Argentinian tango dancing, they usually play three types of music: tango, tango waltz and milonga. The above piece is commonly played and danced to in tango salons.

Maybe I’m too late, but I am someone who plays a lot of Celtic (I would actually call it Irish traditional) stuff and I have a Triplett Ventana and it does very well with that kind of style. It’s very bright, which helps to “cut through” the pipes, accordions, fiddles and whatnots. Just wanted to throw Triplett intonthe already tasty mix of options. Good luck!

The “problem” with the Argentian stuff is that it is often super chromatic. I actually consider myself a good lever flipper, but there is a limit unless you’re, say, Julie Rokseth (see video). Though perhaps now that I know it can be done, I should just start practicing! Might try some Carlos Gardel first.

Blue Tango I’ve never heard in my life. I guess what I should have specified is that I dance Argentinian tango, which has it own repertoire and which is what I was looking for. The whole world of ballroom had completely slipped my mind!
