ParticipantBtw, its my first harp. Because we don’t have any Camac dealer in New Zealand, I ordered it from overseas without trying it. Just feel like I have to after 6months renting a 26 strings plywood harp, otherwise I am going to explode..

ParticipantI have to mention the Aoyama Soul series – 25S and 29S. They are both small enough for travel and sound brilliant. This is the video I found on youtobe about the 25S. Hope this helps.

ParticipantI know this is a very very old post. However, I have to say, I feel the same way as you – nearly explode.

ParticipantI am currently renting a 26 string plywood harp from my tutor.
She bought it from a very good harp maker here. It was a kitset and her brother helped her putting it together.
That’s the only harp I played, there is no sound comparison for me to tell if the sound is good or not. But I really like it as my first harp touch.
So I am thinking about to buy one for myself from the same harp maker. He offers 29 strings kitset around 1200 with full semi levers as well…I just need to put all pieces together and paint it…it costs 300 more if he does the job for you.
I cannot really try it if I am going to get a kitset. Does the assembling job effect Harp (sound) quality?? I am a beginner of DIY as well..
